Daniel Domínguez Gómez explores the future of biotechnology and the bioeconomy with a focus on equity, education, and global impact. He is the Founder of Allbiotech, a pioneering nonprofit that empowers the next generation of scientists and entrepreneurs in the Global South through bioliteracy, workforce development, and futures thinking. Daniel leads Allbiotech’s Bioliteracy Program in partnership with the United Nations University, training policymakers in emerging biotechnologies and strengthening their ability to design science-based policies for inclusive innovation. He also created Futuro.Bio, a futures literacy program equipping young bioengineers with the skills to shape tomorrow’s bioeconomy. Through Allbiotech, Daniel has cultivated a thriving Community of Practice of 350+ young leaders from across Latin America, catalyzing regional collaboration and advancing bioeconomic development. Previously, as Director of Synthetic Biology Ecosystems at the iGEM Foundation, he expanded access to synthetic biology in underserved regions, delivering 100+ lectures and launching high-impact educational programs with global reach. Deeply committed to social justice, youth empowerment, and responsible innovation, Daniel bridges science, policy, and community to drive systemic change. His ability to build cross-sector partnerships and translate complex scientific ideas into actionable strategies makes him a leading voice in the movement toward sustainable and inclusive bioeconomies.
