Mohsen Hejrati is the Senior Director and Head of AI Engineering at Genentech. His work expands across various disease indications, including Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Respiratory, utilizing cutting-edge AI methodologies for pioneering research on clinical disease models. Mohsen's team focuses on developing disease models and  biomarkers to enable drug discovery and development in disease areas with no current treatments. Before joining Genentech, Mohsen worked on diverse projects, such as Google[X]'s self-driving cars and co-founding Maktabkhooneh, the largest Farsi MOOC with millions of students worldwide. He holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Computer Vision from the University of California, Irvine.
