Dr Qian Zheng isa seasoned R&Dleader who drives innovation through developing and executing strategies thatcombine critical consumer insights with cutting-edge technologies.  Currently she is leading anupstream innovation team at L’Oréal R&I, dedicated to skin and hairdiscoveries and inventions, and developing new cosmetic actives and functionalraw materials to create high performant andsustainable products.

Qian has fifteen years of experience in multiple leadershiproles committed to driving cross-functional global success in the beautyindustry. Qian obtained her MD in clinical medicine from Beijing MedicalUniversity, China, with specialization in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Shecompleted her PhD training in neuroscience and furthered her postdoctoralfellowship in skin development and pathology at University of TexasSouthwestern Medical Center. Qian has twenty-two innovation patents in the skincare space and over twenty publications and book chapters related to dermatology,clinical research, and molecular and cell biology with prestige scientific and medicalpublishers.
