Zack Abbott is the founder and CEO of ZBiotics, the company that brought the world's first genetically engineered probiotics to market. After completing his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan, he focused on engineering probiotic bacteria that could help solve everyday problems of human health. ZBiotics's mission is to make GMOs people love by building totally novel products with unique and beneficial functions, and then being transparent with consumers that genetic engineering was used to build those products that have the benefits they want. ZBiotics is working to build a future where people can be excited about the use of genetic engineering, and that starts with responsibility, transparency, and people-first benefits.
