Session Description
Modulating our environment with biology can play an essential role in restoring polluted habitats, upcycling waste products, and directly addressing climate change. Innovations like microbiome remediation or enhanced carbon-capturing trees offer new solutions in addressing our climate crisis. But there are still many hurdles to overcome for these climate technologies to succeed. How can we address public concerns about modulating our environment? What regulatory frameworks and contamination detection methods need to be established? How can (or should) we collaborate with polluting industries and how can we layer synbio technologies to build full stack solutions for restoring our planet?
