Session Description
Algae is gaining traction as a fast-growing, readily-scalable system for producing bio-based products. Its previous bust came during the biofuels fallout of the early 2000s. But a new wave of algae companies is growing into the bioeconomy with novel innovations and products. What does algae's second renaissance teach us about correcting our past mistakes and revisiting on previously-outdated concepts? Could algae become the leading system of carbon-negative production? Most critically, can algae actually succeed this time around?
