E11 Bio is seeking a lab technician who enjoys keeping things organized, getting things done, and designing systems to solve problems. You will be supporting all the scientists with upkeep of lab and office facilities, purchasing supplies, and making space and process changes to make everything run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast paced environment as part of E11’s operations team, and support a team of scientists excel in a happy, healthy working environment
  • Purchasing and restocking lab and office supplies
  • Managing equipment purchasing, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting
  • Manage shipping and receiving
  • Manage inventory and expense reporting
  • Work with safety officer to ensure proper safety, compliance, and waste disposal
  • Managing vendors and outsourcing communications
  • General tidying, organizing, and cleanliness upkeep of the space
  • Facilities management of office and lab
  • Seek out, propose and implement space or process improvements
  • Write protocols and procedures, and organize databases
  • Work independently or as a team on one-off special projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in related work
  • Interest in biological laboratory management
  • Aptitude for organization and cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to find solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency for software tools such as Quartzy, Expensify, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion
