You are a hungry and ambitious leader, looking to define your early career through technology sales.

What you will do

The Outbound SDR position is a specialized and impactful role — your mission is to create predictable lead generation, a cornerstone to an effective sales machine.  You will be an expert in predictable lead generation: finding market opportunities, executing outreach campaigns, and systematically booking meetings. Your day to day will consist of activities, metrics, and automation around this:

  • Refine Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) alongside product and sales team.

  • Orchestrate mass-outreach campaigns personalized to ICPs.

  • Write and refine messaging campaigns consistently based on hard data on what is working.

  • Navigate and work responses from leads to warm them up for qualification meetings.

  • Book demos and conduct hot-handoffs to our AEs (founders) to close opportunities.

What you need to succeed

  • Experience as a BDR or SDR at an early-stage cloud or software company

  • Evidence of exceptional performance at your prior jobs

  • Ability to understand & communicate technical concepts plainly

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM automation and best practices

  • Desire to excel at sales

  • Persistence and resilience

  • The ability to make numerous cold calls and send thousands of emails requires persistence. Rejection is a natural part of sales, so resilience is crucial in order to bounce back from negative responses.

  • Effective communication skills

  • The ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively, as well as being able to listen effectively to understand clients needs and help solve their problems.

  • Product knowledge

  • An extremely strong knowledge of our product and services being sold is crucial. Understanding the features, benefits, and how it meets the needs of a wide variety of scientific aims biotech clients may have.

  • Time management

  • Ability to balance a high volume of calls, emails, and meetings with excellent organization and time management skills. You need to know how to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.

  • Prospecting skills

  • Identifying and reaching out to potential customers is a fundamental part of sales. This includes understanding how to segment and target the market, as well as how to qualify leads.

  • Self-motivation

  • Sales can be a demanding role, with targets to meet and pressure to perform. Being self-motivated, goal-oriented and driven is crucial.
