Staff Client Solutions Engineer

As a staff engineer and Ganymede's technical lead for hardware and software integration, you'll help us build push the boundaries of IoT and fleet management, architect customers' data strategy and company-wide data schemas, and leave your mark on Ganymede as well as the biotech industry and broader sciences. You'll wear many hats:
Be the technical lead of the Customer Solutions Engineering team and drive its overall technical strategy, as well as getting your hands dirty building customer implementations yourself in Ganymede
Focus on integrating hardware - mostly lab instruments - since this is one of the most complex and valuable things Ganymede's platform does. You'll do this at both the implementation and systems design level, developing technical plans in tandem with the software engineering team to build better abstractions to make integration faster
Implement with velocity to maintain our pace, while strategically avoiding and reduce tech debt in the future
Ensure that integrations are rock-solid and reliable to meet the stringent quality and compliance standards of biopharma and manufacturing
Be a key determinant of our culture, and will help us grow and set norms for the business as we scale
Requirements
What we look for:
5+ years of experience working in a software or systems engineering role
2+ years specifically in a client-facing engineering role or internal service-provider role such as a core automation team
At least one experience working specifically in the life sciences, manufacturing, or other IoT automation at a hardware or software level
Demonstrated staff-level leadership on projects or in a domain
Mentorship of juniors on these projects improve their technical and design contributions
Excellent collaboration skills in both written and verbal forms, as well as via clear, cleanly written code
Desire to improve software infrastructure for scientists advancing the health and welfare of people
Pluses (but not required by any means!):
Work experience in a lab or working with scientific instrumentation, lab automation, or robotics
Experience with biology or manufacturing informatics tools like LIMS or MES systems
Contributions to open source packages
Personal hardware or home automation side projects
Experience working within a quality, compliance, or GxP framework
