About the role
As a founding member of our sales team, you'll own an end-to-end sales pipeline with a high volume of biotech startups that you prospect, demo to, and nurture independently. The focus of your days will be to discover, qualify, and close high-value opportunities with the top scientific enterprises in the world. To do this you will craft pitches and demos for targeted decision makers in the biotech space.
The mentality needed for this role is one of energetic professionalism, a love for selling, and day-to-day tenacity that is inspired by a genuine desire to help our customers.

Your Responsibilities
Follow up and qualify new leads via the telephone and email, for scientific and technical fit
Organize, categorize, and prioritize sales leads in close.io and measure lead conversion and performance against quota
Leverage prospecting tools to research companies and identify key decision makers at new accounts
Develop customized pitches for different target accounts and personas

Have 1-2 years in a Sales Development Representative (SDR), BD Representative (BDR), or similar role
Have a proven history of consistent high achievement and exceeding sales quotas given to you
Are passionate about LatchBio's mission and accelerating life sciences research
Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Are not afraid to pick up the phone and cold call
Are organized and have exceptional time management skills
Are naturally curious, good with ambiguity, easily coachable
