The Company
Cemvita Factory is an energy transition biotech startup with a mission to reimagine the heavy industry space for the net-zero economy. Our carbon negative and climate positive vision has attracted clients in the oil & gas, petrochemicals, and mining sectors. Founded in 2017 in Houston and expanded to Denver in 2020, the company is engineering microbes in a Microbes-as-a-Service platform model for CO2 utilization, subsurface carbon utilization, and biomining. Cemvita recently closed Series A funding, with investments from leading venture capital and strong corporate partners, such as Energy Capital Ventures, 8090 Partners, Sumitomo Corp. of America, and Mitsubishi. To date, Cemvita is partnered with Oxy Low Carbon Ventures (OLCV) and United Airlines Ventures (UAV) to convert CO2 to bioethylene and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

Requirements
• Bring expertise and intellectual curiosity to our overall mission of reducing the carbon footprint associated with heavy industrial processes in oil & gas,
chemicals, and mining
• Masters or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Environmental/Biological, Chemical Engineering
• 2-20 years' experience
