The company’s advanced CRISPR-based platform, consisting of an instrument, reagents, and software, offers a fully automated workflow that enables multiplexed, trackable editing of cells at an unprecedented scale. Inscripta’s mission is to enable scientists to realize the full potential of biology. Due to rapid growth and recent commercialization, Inscripta has an opening for a Senior Buyer/Planner located in San Diego, CA.
Summary:
The Senior Buyer/Planner will be responsible for ensuring supply to support both sustaining manufacturing and requirements from development for pilot through tech transfer. This is an exciting opportunity to build the groundwork of supply chain infrastructure at a growing startup.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute purchase orders based on demand requirements.
Manage and improve the planning and purchasing needed to support manufacturing, balancing inventory goals and demand requirements.
Manage and foster supplier relationships.
Plan and schedule manufacturing work orders.
Develop, drive, and execute against various supply chain strategies.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers, vendors, and shipping contacts throughout the product lifecycle.
Communicate across the organization to help define and update supply chain requirements as the life cycle of the products evolve.
Resolves invoice issues in partnership with finance.
Requirements
Typically requires a BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of supply chain or related experience.
Ability to assess risk and collaborate with other functions to mitigate supply constraints.
Desire to work in a team environment and collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
Inscripta offers a competitive base salary, bonus plan, benefits package, 401k match and an attractive equity program to all team members. Base Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Base salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
