What we're looking for

We are seeking an exceptional Strain Engineering Scientist to join our R&D team and drive the development of our model organism bio-production platform. The scientist will push the implementation and optimisation of metabolic pathways for production of isoprenoids in microbial strains at lab scale.

Responsibilities

• Implement novel metabolic pathways in microbial strains for industrial production of isoprenoids

• Engineer and optimise of the microbial strain hosts to increase production of isoprenoids to economically viable titers

• Diversify the sources of feedstock as a raw material for the industrial production of isoprenoids

• Optimise cultivation conditions, design assays for screening the performance of engineered microorganisms

Qualifications

Hard skills

• Construction and implementation of biosynthetic pathways for production of valuable molecules

• Hands-on experience of high throughput screening of microbial strains

• Experience in cultivation and evolution of engineered microorganisms

• Bonus: experience in isoprenoid production implementation

• Bonus: knowledge of microbial metabolism and physiology

• Bonus: professional experience in startup or industry
