Allonnia and SGS Launch Global D-Solve™ Pilot Program to Accelerate Critical Mineral Production

A new partnership aims to facilitate the adoption of Allonnia's innovative technology for improving mineral recovery in the mining industry.

Allonnia, an industrial biotechnology company focused on enhancing mineral production, has introduced a centralized pilot program in collaboration with SGS. This initiative allows mining companies globally to assess Allonnia's D-Solve™ technology at SGS's renowned Lakefield facility in Ontario. The program is designed to streamline the validation of new processing technologies, thus accelerating the uptake of D-Solve in the mining sector.

Traditionally, introducing new technologies into mineral processing has been hindered by costly and location-specific pilot programs. The new centralized pilot model significantly mitigates the investment, complexity, and time needed for mining companies to examine D-Solve using their own concentrates at SGS under continuous operating conditions. This partnership provides a quicker pathway for mining companies to assess D-Solve, a technology that employs Allonnia Biosolutions™ to selectively eliminate impurities that affect concentrate grade and recovery. The centralized model allows Allonnia to shorten project timelines while minimizing logistical challenges and costs for its clients.

As the demand for critical minerals rises, mining firms are increasingly pressured to enhance metal recovery from their current operations. D-Solve addresses this need by selectively removing impurities that can lower concentrate quality, decrease recovery rates, and negatively impact production costs.

SGS will facilitate Allonnia's pilot operations at its Lakefield facility, offering the necessary infrastructure, analytical testing, and metallurgical expertise to validate D-Solve under real-world conditions. Additionally, customers can utilize SGS's downstream flotation capabilities to assess how the technology affects their entire processing flowsheet.

These accomplishments highlight the progression of D-Solve from laboratory validation to commercial application.
