Dr. Chandran's return to Amyris comes after a successful two-year period as Chief Science Officer at Impossible Foods, where he was instrumental in leading R&D, Process Development, and Innovation, which resulted in significant product breakthroughs. Before his tenure at Impossible Foods, he dedicated 17 years to Amyris, climbing the ranks from Scientist to Chief Science Officer and Head of R&D. During his first term, he played a key role in commercializing ingredients and was a primary architect of several notable platform technologies for the company.
