‍CORALVILLE, Iowa (June 4, 2025) — Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a global genomics leader, has introduced a new synthetic biology customer solutions program aimed at accelerating the design-build-test cycle and fueling rapid innovation. This white glove service leverages IDT’s decades of manufacturing expertise and a dedicated team of scientists and synthetic biology specialists to support customers with tailored tools and solutions that go beyond IDT’s existing product catalog of genes, gene fragments, vectors, and plate formats.

The newly launched program was created to help researchers overcome limitations of off-the-shelf products by offering flexible, custom-built options that facilitate faster development cycles. Designed to be collaborative and adaptive, the service minimizes scale and testing bottlenecks while accelerating project timelines.

In its pilot phase, IDT’s custom solutions program evaluated more than 35 project opportunities, successfully supporting workflows in over half of them. The company has also dedicated lab and manufacturing space within its 25,000-square-foot U.S. synthetic biology facility in Coralville, Iowa (opened in May 2024) to focus specifically on advancing customer innovations.

The program accommodates a wide range of project sizes, from single custom requests to large-scale initiatives. Examples of supported work include:

• Non-standard gene fragments with higher yields or labels
• Complex genes
• Genes over 5 kb in length
• Cloned genes with specialized cell lines and subcloning
• Multi-site cloning
