Today, Engine Biosciences, a company whose team members include Tim Lu and Jim Collins from MIT, announced a $10 Million Series A financing to combine artificial intelligence and genomics to redesign drug discovery.The next generation DNA synthesis market is heating up as Evonetix raised a $12.3 million (£9 million) Series A led by DCVC to develop technology that enables the parallel synthesis of DNA on silicon arrays. Paris-based DNA Script also announced an agreement with Dynamic Combinatorial Chemistry (DCC) to advance its enzymatic technology to synthesize long DNA fragments, towards entire genes and, eventually, chromosomes.

Hermann Hauser and Matt Ocko, Evonetix Investors.Clean meat company Memphis Meats received investment from Tyson Foods’ venture capital arm. Tyson joins other top investors including Bill Gates and Richard Branson.
